Paper Bracelet

Create a light weight fun bracelet using paper. This example from Take Your Vitamin C was created using water color paper but I imagine making one using scrapbooking paper. What a great idea for using up all your scrap paper you have been saving. This project does take some down time because of dry time. [link]

These origami envelopes are made from four different papers with one fold each. You can make them in a variety of sizes. The tutorial was posted on Cut Out + Keep by Copernicus. [link] Upon seeing these, I thought it would be a great teacher gift with a little Post It Note pad inside. Or even a cute folio for a CD or DVD.

Make a Paper Wallet

Need a new wallet but don't want to pay for one? Maybe you just want the novelty of making this wallet out of paper. I think this would be a great project to be made from paper that you decorated yourself with stamping and/or drawing. They seem to hold up rather well. I wonder if you made it from that paper that doesn't tear if it would be more sturdy? How about ironing fabric to paper? Try one, it's only a sheet of paper! Directions are found on Instructables. PUSH paper :: book review

Can you love a book before even opening it? I love PUSH paper. The horizontal size, the specialty binding, the die cut open arrow, and the texture of the spine. Before turning a page you know you are about to experience something special .

PUSH paper is a gallery series book newly released from Lark Crafts. PUSH profiles 30 different international paper artists that are “push”ing the boundaries of working with paper. The book contains beautiful photographs, pared with a documented Q&A discussion with the juror: Jaime Zollars of Paper Forest.

My opinion: This is an inspirational book; worthy of mention, even more so of purchasing.

Lark Crafts can be found at: http://www.larkcrafts.com/

PUSH paper is available for purchase through Amazon at the following link.

Product review & giveaway disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above in exchange for an unbiased review. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255 "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."

Tea Bag Folding

Have you heard of tea bag folding? This craft seems to be becoming very popular. There are many websites with free instructions on how to fold. There are others that offer free printable patterns for you to use. One I found is very interesting in that it is a kaleidoscope generator that you can control and then save your image and print out for your own tea bag folding. You can see it here.  http://www.masikatiwebdesign.com/teabags/kaleidoscopes.asp
